Grapes: Sangiovese 70%, Cabernet 20%, 10% Other.

Sight: Brilliant pink

Nose: Intense viscous notes, hints of berries

Palate: Harmonious, lively, flavourful and dry finishing, layers of fruit and depth.

General Information: Produced with a high percentage of Sangiovese, this wine expresses the natural qualities of the zone with its sensational flavours rich and complex. A wine of harmonious balance, persistent with a soft fruity expression on the palate. Short skin contact of a maximum of three hours time is observed (time period might be less as decided upon when the fruit arrives into the cellar). The wine is then treated similarly to the white wines, with a temperature controlled fermentation, followed by a decantation without fining. The wine is placed into bottle and it is recommended to be consumed prior to the lapse of the year.

Food Match: A splendid aperitif which accompanies light delicate plates of seafood. Michele Satta is a man with incredible talent and a great passion for his land and his grapes. Living in the picturesque village of Castagneto Carducci near Bolgheri, he has created a diverse selection of wines. Italy is developing some world-class winemakers of which Michele is a rising star.
