Grapes Barbara d’Asti 100% Sight Ruby red colour with purple hues. Nose Rich, intense and persistent aromas of liquorice, violet, plum and vanilla. Palate A fruit and spice combination, decidedly well balanced. Vigorous and intense. The wealth of expression is owed to the spices wrapped around ripe plum, giving density and power. General Information Aged for 18 months in barriques and 1 year in the bottle Food Match Accompanies roast meats, wild game and hard cheese. The Bologna family are the heartbeat for this winery which was started by Guiseppe Bologna then passed down to Giacomo and his wife Anna who have two siblings Raffaella and Beppe. Raffaella and Beppe are both Oenologists with different talents; Raffaella for marketing and Beppe for agriculture and production. Braida are renowned for producing world class Barbera, Bricco della Uccellone was the first serious Barbera produced aged in French oak for 12 months.
