Winemaker Jean-Claude’s preference for elegance over extraction shines through in this 2016. A blend of 85% Merlot with 15% Cabernet Franc, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (of which 20% were new), colour is mid ruby, aromas being attractive and very fine, recalling delicately spiced red cherries. Palate is medium bodied, poised and pure, with the most gorgeous, satin-like texture. The finish is long-flavoured and full of finesse.
