Vineyards

Sourced from vineyards located in East Mendoza and the Uco Valley, situated at altitudes between 800 and 1,100 metres above sea level. The high-altitude plateau at the edge of the Andes provides a temperate climate with significant diurnal temperature variations, ideal for cultivating Malbec grapes. The flat, fertile sandy-loam soils contribute to the production of fruit-forward reds.

Winemaking

Made from 100% Malbec, the grapes are cultivated using Vertical Shoot Positioning (VSP) with drip irrigation to ensure optimal growth and fruit quality. After careful harvesting, the wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit characteristics. This Malbec is unoaked, allowing the pure expression of the grape to shine through.

Appearance

Deep ruby red with violet hues, reflecting its youthful vibrancy.

Nose

A juicy, brambly nose with aromas of redcurrants, blackcurrants, and plums, offering an inviting and fruit-forward bouquet.

Palate

Soft and round on the palate, this full-bodied Malbec presents flavours of red and black fruits, complemented by soft tannins and a refreshing lift of acidity. The unoaked vinification allows the pure fruit flavours to dominate, making it an approachable and enjoyable wine for everyday consumption.

Food pairing

This versatile Malbec pairs perfectly with steak, sausage and mash, or pasta with meat or tomato-based sauces. Its fruit-forward profile and balanced acidity also make it a delightful companion to grilled vegetables and mild cheeses.

Background story

Bodega Los Haroldos, owned by the Falasco family, is one of Argentina’s leading family-owned wineries. The family's winemaking journey began in 1939 when Haroldo Santos Falasco, known as 'Don Lolo', sold his wines from the basket of his bicycle in Chacabuco. Today, the fourth generation, led by Franco Falasco and his siblings, continues the legacy, creating wines of excellence and quality for the world to enjoy.
