Cellers de Can Suriol, nestled in the Penedès region, is a historic winery with roots dating back to 1624. The Suriol family, now in their 14th generation, manages 30 hectares of organic vineyards divided into over 25 micro-plots. They practise sustainable and biodynamic viticulture, are certified organic, and cultivate traditional varietals such as Xarel·lo, Macabeu, and Parellada.
The winery uses gravity-fed processes in a partially buried cellar to maintain temperature stability. Fermentation occurs in underground cement tanks, and ageing is done in local chestnut barrels, dependent on the wine, reflecting their commitment to quality and tradition. Sustainable practices include rainwater harvesting, lightweight bottles, and natural corks, underscoring their environmental commitment.
