Vineyards

The Morgon Les Charmes vineyard, located within the esteemed Morgon appellation in Beaujolais, is known for its gently sloping terrain and rich clay-limestone soils. The vines, aged between 40 and 70 years, thrive under sustainable viticulture practices, fostering biodiversity and maintaining soil health. The terroir imparts elegance and finesse to the wines, making Les Charmes a distinguished expression of the Morgon appellation.

Winemaking

The grapes were harvested by hand and underwent traditional semi-carbonic maceration, preserving the bright fruit character and enhancing aromatic complexity. The wine was aged for 12 months in a mix of stainless steel and older oak barrels, ensuring a balance of purity and subtle texture while highlighting the terroir-driven profile.

Appearance

Bright ruby with garnet reflections, showcasing its vibrancy and depth.

Nose

Aromas of red cherries, wild strawberries, and cranberries are interwoven with floral notes of rose petals, hints of cinnamon, and a touch of earthiness.

Palate

The palate is smooth and elegant, with flavours of ripe red berries, crushed raspberries, and a whisper of spice. Silky tannins and vibrant acidity create a harmonious structure, leading to a refined, lingering finish with subtle mineral undertones.

Food pairing

This wine pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, grilled salmon, or mushroom-based dishes. It also complements charcuterie, soft cheeses, and vegetable gratins, making it a versatile choice for a variety of cuisines.
