Terroir
Across the river from Chateauneuf du Pape and neighbouring Cru Lirac, the terroir is a mixture of pebbles sandy soil.
Producer profile
One of the leading cooperatives in the southern Rhone and the only one to be classified as a Protected Building of Architectural Significance, plus the also the only cooperative in France to have been officially opened by a President of the Republic. Established in 1932.
Vinification
Grapes picked at optimal maturity and vinified using a combination of modern and traditional techniques to allow the different varietals and terroirs to best express themselves within the eventual blend. No oak ageing for purity of the Grenache fruit flavours.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby with violet tints, this wine has aromas of red fruits with a hint of pepper spice and delicious smooth fruity flavours. Easy drinking.
