After acquiring an ancestral family vineyard that had existed for hundreds of years, Quinta da Boa Esperança was established by Artur Gama and his wife Eva in 2014. Their 11 hectares of organic vineyards lie in the heart of Zibreira, within the renowned Lisbon Wine Region. Benefiting from proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and Montejunto Ridge, the vineyards enjoy high elevation, ample sun exposure, and maritime influences, cultivating exceptional grapes of both local and international varietals, including Fernão Pires, Arinto, Sauvignon Blanc, Alvarinho, Syrah, Touriga Nacional, and Alicante Bouschet.

Dedicated to sustainability, the Gama family adheres to organic principles, extending their eco-friendly practices to growing their own vegetables, fruit, herbs, and breeding chickens in their kitchen garden. This holistic approach ensures a harmonious coexistence with nature, reflected in their meticulous vineyard care, minimal intervention, and manual harvesting, resulting in wines that truly express the essence of their land.

Quinta da Boa Esperança Rosé 2023
Grapes: 40% Castelão, 40% Touriga Nacional, 20% Syrah

Vineyards:
The organic vineyards of Quinta da Boa Esperança are located north of Lisbon, at a higher altitude near the historic fishing town of Ericeira, which is also known as a world-class surfing destination. This geographical location benefits the vineyards with both maritime and altitude influences, contributing to the freshness and balance of the wines produced there

Winemaking:

The grapes undergo whole bunch pressing, followed by fermentation at controlled temperatures between 10°C and 12°C in stainless steel vats. This process helps preserve the fresh, delicate aromas while maintaining the wine's structure and intensity.

Sight:
A light salmon colour, reflecting the freshness and vibrancy of the wine.

Nose:
The bouquet reveals fine and delicate aromas of red fruit, with hints of strawberry and raspberry.

Palate:
On the palate, the wine is fresh, structured, and intense, with a well-balanced profile and a long-standing finish. The refreshing acidity makes it ideal for various pairings, while the subtle complexity keeps it engaging.

Food Match:
This rosé pairs perfectly with seafood, grilled fish, white meats, and Asian cuisine. Its fresh and lively character also makes it an ideal wine for summer dining or as an apéritif.
