Vineyard and winemaking
Real Agrado Blanco is made from Viura grown in the estate's Rioja Oriental vineyards between Alfaro and Aldeanueva de Ebro. The dry climate gives clean, ripe fruit, while the property's varied soils and night-time cooling help preserve the grape's subtle herbal and orchard-fruit character.
The 2024 was fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel and made without oak influence. This direct approach keeps the wine pale, aromatic and brisk, with a gentle creaminess providing balance without adding weight.
Tasting notes
Appearance
Pale lemon-yellow with green glints and brilliant clarity.
Nose
Peach skin, pineapple and yellow plum are lifted by orange blossom, fresh-cut herbs and a light bakery note.
Palate
Fresh and softly textured, with white peach, citrus and restrained tropical fruit. A creamy mid-palate is tightened by clean acidity, leading to a bright, gently herbal finish.
Food pairing
Try it with grilled sea bass, prawn and avocado salad, asparagus tart, or lemon-roast chicken. Its freshness also suits a simple plate of goat's cheese, broad beans and mint.
Background story
Real Agrado works with almost 100 hectares of its own vineyards in Rioja Oriental, giving the team control over every stage from pruning to bottling. The first vines were planted in 1974, followed by construction of the estate winery in 2005.
This Viura belongs to the classic range, where the emphasis is on fresh, balanced wines with a clear fruit presence. It offers a clean, unoaked counterpoint to Las Planas, the estate's long-aged single-vineyard interpretation of the same grape.
