Barcolobo, situated in Castilla y León, spans 20 hectares and cultivates Tempranillo, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, plus leases an old vines Verdejo vineyard. They have a continental climate of Atlantic influence, with cold winters and summers subjected to high temperatures, which play a fundamental role in the development of the vines, producing grapes of exceptional quality that stand out for their great concentration The vineyard's pebble, sand, and alluvial soils, combined with sustainable and ecological practices such as natural vegetable covers and minimal chemical treatments,
ensure a balanced and thriving environment.

The Winery can be found on the La Rinconada estate, an extraordinary and picturesque natural landscape in the Castronuño region (Valladolid) where the river Duero flows in the form of a sickle to form the shape of the land on which the estate sits (hence the name – rinconada means cornered or cut-off in Spanish). This place boasts a long crop and livestock farming and hunting tradition within the privileged surroundings of the “Riberas de Castronuño – Vega del Duero” Nature Reserve, a habitat of exceptional value for such wildlife species as the purple heron, deer, wild boar, eaglets and countless
other animals. This space of incredible natural beauty and value is home to both the vineyards and the winery.

Quality is prioritised over quantity, implementing green pruning when necessary and meticulously selecting grapes both in the vineyard and winery. Grapes are chilled to 3°C post -harvest to prevent oxidation and enhance aroma and colour extraction. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, and wines are aged in French oak barrels with regular racking. Each variety and plot are vinified separately to maintain its distinct personality. They’ve also scored highly in competitions
