Vineyards
Despierta Verdejo is crafted from sustainably managed vineyards at 700 metres in Socuéllamos, La Mancha, where the continental climate brings together hot summers and cold winters, encouraging vibrant, concentrated flavours. The clay-limestone soils and organic practices enhance the natural freshness and aromatic profile of Verdejo.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to retain Verdejo’s bright, aromatic qualities. This approach highlights the varietal’s fresh, fruit-forward character, free from any oak influence.
Appearance
Bright straw yellow with greenish highlights, indicative of its youthful vibrancy.
Nose
This Verdejo opens with aromas of green apple, citrus, and hints of tropical fruit, layered with subtle floral notes that add complexity to its bouquet.
Palate
On the palate, Despierta Verdejo is crisp and refreshing, showcasing flavours of lime, pear, and a touch of minerality. A lively acidity balances the wine, leading to a clean, refreshing finish.
Food pairing
Ideal for pairing with seafood, tapas, light salads, and mild cheeses, offering a versatile match for fresh, light dishes.
