Vineyards

The vineyards are located in the prestigious Chambolle-Musigny appellation in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. The vines average over 50 years of age, contributing to the wine’s concentration and depth. The soils are predominantly limestone and clay, known for imparting elegance and finesse to the wine. Sustainable vineyard practices are employed, with a focus on maintaining vine health and promoting biodiversity.

Winemaking

The grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by gentle extraction methods to preserve the delicate nature of Pinot Noir. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, adding complexity and structure while allowing the vineyard’s terroir to shine.

Appearance

Bright ruby red with garnet hues.

Nose

The nose is expressive and refined, offering aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and wild strawberries, layered with notes of rose petals, forest floor, and a hint of sweet spice.

Palate

On the palate, this Chambolle-Musigny is medium-bodied with a silky texture and fine-grained tannins. Flavours of ripe cherry, plum, and blackcurrant are complemented by delicate notes of truffle, spices, and a touch of smoke from oak aging. The texture is velvety, with well-integrated tannins and a lingering, elegant finish. The wine’s vibrant acidity provides balance, leading to a refined and well-rounded finish.

Food pairing

This wine pairs beautifully with roasted duck, game birds, and mushroom-based dishes. It also complements soft cheeses such as Brie and Camembert, making it an ideal choice for a refined meal. Serving at 16-18°C is recommended, with decanting for about 30 minutes to fully unlock its aromatic profile.
