Vineyards
The Te Muna Road Vineyard is situated in Martinborough, known for its ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir. The vineyard’s free-draining soils and cool climate allow for slow ripening, resulting in complex flavours and refined tannins.
Winemaking
The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 10 months, 25% of which are new, adding layers of complexity and structure. The result is a wine with balance, finesse, and depth.
Appearance
Pale gold with green highlights.
Nose
Aromas of red cherries, cranberries, and wild strawberries are complemented by hints of rose petals and subtle spice.
Palate
On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with flavours of red berries, pomegranate, and a touch of earthy undertones. Silky tannins and balanced acidity provide structure, leading to a long, elegant finish.
Food pairing
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted duck, grilled salmon, or mushroom-based dishes. It also complements light salads and goat’s cheese.
