Appearance
A rich amber hue with golden highlights, showcasing its maturity and refined depth after nearly six decades in oak.
Nose
A complex bouquet of delicate white flowers and ripe fruits, including pear and apple, balanced by deeper notes of caramel, vanilla, and hints of tobacco and coffee. This aromatic profile reflects the layered character that develops with long aging.
Palate
Smooth and elegant, the palate delivers flavours of quince, honeyed nuts, and a gentle spice. Undertones of coffee and wood integrate beautifully, leading to a warm, lingering finish. The rancio—a characteristic nutty, oxidative note from extended aging—enhances its depth and complexity.
About
Baron de Lustrac, a revered éleveur-négociant specialising in single-vintage Armagnacs, has built its reputation on strong partnerships with 20 selected growers across the Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze regions. The estate’s philosophy is grounded in five key values: terroir, character, authenticity, handcrafted quality, and discovery. These principles guide every step of production. After a long, slow ageing process at their native properties, the final blending and bottling take place at their cellars in the village of Nogaro. Each vintage embodies its own unique personality, reflecting the distinct terroir and craftsmanship that define the region's character.
