Despierta Chardonnay is produced from vineyards at 700 metres in Socuéllamos, La Mancha. Here, the continental climate, with its hot summers and cool winters, brings out the Chardonnay’s vibrant fruit qualities. Managed under organic and vegan-certified practices, the vineyards reflect a dedication to biodiversity and minimal intervention, allowing the variety to thrive in clay-limestone soils.
Winemaking
Harvested at peak ripeness, the grapes undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, ensuring fresh, aromatic qualities are retained. This method highlights Chardonnay’s natural fruit-forward character, with no oak influence to preserve its pure expression.
Appearance
Pale straw yellow with light greenish reflections, showcasing its youthful freshness.
Nose
Aromas of ripe pear, green apple, and tropical fruit are underscored by delicate floral notes, resulting in an aromatic and inviting bouquet.
Palate
Lively and well-balanced, with a crisp acidity that complements flavours of orchard fruit and citrus. The palate is smooth and refreshing, ending with a clean, zesty finish.
