Vineyards

The Coddington vineyard is renowned for its ability to produce Chardonnays with rich fruit concentration and vibrant acidity. The 2021 vintage saw cool evenings and a long growing season, allowing for precise ripening and exceptional flavour development.

Winemaking

The grapes were hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed to preserve their purity. Fermentation took place in French oak barrels using indigenous yeasts, followed by 11 months of lees ageing with gentle bâtonnage to enhance texture and complexity.

Appearance

Bright straw-yellow with green highlights.

Nose

Aromas of ripe nectarine, lemon zest, and brioche dominate, with subtle undertones of vanilla and wet stone.

Palate

Rich and layered, with flavours of apricot, citrus, and roasted nuts. The wine’s crisp acidity provides freshness, while a flinty minerality adds depth to the long, elegant finish.

Food pairing

Ideal with pan-seared scallops, lobster risotto, or creamy mushroom dishes.
